Woodsetts History Society is a local group, formed in September 1999 and was the brain child of Honorary Life President, Michael Bradburn. His idea became a reality when he shared it with a small team of like-minded volunteers.
Through grants, donations and lottery funding, the History Society managed to buy the old methodist chapel on Gildingwells Road and turn it in to the archive building you see today.
This was officially opened in June 2006 by Michael and houses an extensive collection of books, magazines and memorabilia on the village and surrounding areas. It is open by appointment by using our contact details. If you wish to visit, please get in touch.
2024 sees the Society celebrate 25 years of service and the committee is busy putting together a calendar of events to celebrate.
The Society meets on the third Thursday of each month, with live speakers and entertainment.
